No I don’t mean birthday parties, where the only things in goodie bags are party poppers, a single sweet and a toy whistle. I’m talking about the house parties that 16+ year olds host while their parents are out. Hmm… not my thing at all I’m afraid. I’ve never been to one for a number of reasons, but I’d rather not either.
For one, I hate alcohol. I have a liver disease that makes my hangovers last 10x longer, so not so good. Also, I hate seeing how stupid it makes people. Thirdly, it tastes like shite for the most part (until you are too numb to feel anything).
You may think I’m seeming like some sort of sulking nerd who lives with his computer. Well, you’d be partially right, at least! So I like spending time on this machine. Through my eyes that is better than going to some party for a few hours of “good times”, only to wake up the next morning feeling like shit and having to waste the day in bed.
What. Is. The. Point.
Maybe it’s the way I’ve been encouraged to think, or maybe it’s the way that I feel myself… but does one really need alcohol to have a good time? Surely not.
However, if I got invited to one of these paties I’d probably go anyway. And, to much of my friends’ disappointment, I would hog the soft drinks.
Oh yeah, the other thing is being sick. Why put yourself through it?
Anyway yeah, that’s just my thought for a day since I haven’t posted anything in almost a month.
After reading you post about parties I agree to an extent. However I feel it is unfair for you to judge them without having been to one yourself. I was like you and used yo be repulsed by the concept of a party however after atending one or two I became particularly fond of a good smash up therefore in the intrest of science I feel it would be a good idea for you to let your hair down asuming your not bald and party hard! Then pass your judgement I mean what’s a days hangover for one of the best nights of your life? Your only young once

@Kate
Fair enough, I cannot make assumptions of something that’s not happened to me yet. But I do have a liver disease, which has still gone untested. That’s another reason, because it could easily get much worse.
It’s my 18th birthday tomorrow… how conveniant!
I’ll definately be having something then.
Thanks for the comment!
I’m quite pleased with the infomrtaoin in this one. TY!
